What are the product characteristics of a reactor?

添加时间:2026-05-21

The role of reactors in high-voltage distribution systems: Reactors used in power systems are usually series reactors and shunt reactors. Reactors are mainly used to limit short-circuit current, and they are also used to limit harmonics when connected in series with capacitors in filters or in parallel in the power grid. Reactors on 220kV, 110kV, 35kV, and 10kV networks absorb the reactive power of cable line charging capacitance. The operating voltage can be adjusted by changing the number of shunt reactors.

What are the principles for selecting reactors?

Each power company has its own characteristics and different equipment requirements. Dry-type reactors have low noise, good linearity, high mechanical strength, and are easy to install. Oil-immersed reactors have low losses, take up less space, poor linearity, and high noise. Therefore, the choice of reactor type should be made comprehensively.

The reactance rate of a reactor is 0.1% to 1%, the reactance rate of reactors for harmonic blocking is 4.5% to 13%, and current-limiting reactors limit the current to less than 10 times the rated current of capacitors. When configuring current-limiting reactors, line reactance (1H/M) should be considered.
